Today's Stohr Wohneinrichtungen AG was founded in 1913 by Anton Stohr-Feierabend as a saddler and upholsterer's workshop. What began mainly with mattresses and upholstered furniture gradually developed into a modern interior decorating and furniture business. Three generations always knew how to set the right course and were thus able to make their name known far beyond Engelberg. Both the premises and the product range of the store, which has been based at its current location since 1943, have been continuously adapted to the spirit of the times. On October 1, 2008, former apprentice, employee and deputy managing director Ruedy Langenstein took over Stohr Wohneinrichtungen AG from Herbert and Martha Stohr. In 2013, the 100th anniversary was celebrated with various events and birthday activities.

Our wide selection on three floors with a range of well-known brands opens up almost limitless combination possibilities and makes it easy for you to realize your personal furnishing ideas. In addition to the diverse range, Stohr also impresses with the quality workmanship of its studios, be it for floor coverings, curtains or upholstery.

With candles, vases, decorative flowers, decorative cushions and much more, you can create your own personal feel-good ambience. In our boutique, you will also find a wide range of home textiles as well as useful and decorative items to embellish your kitchen and bathroom. For space reasons, we cannot stock every item, but thanks to our excellent supplier relationships, we can usually fulfill your request within a week.

If you fancy a new floor under your feet, we will be happy to help. Whether parquet, laminate, carpets, Novilon or linoleum - you will find sample collections from various manufacturers in our showroom. We are committed to putting our experience at your disposal, providing you with expert advice, taking precise measurements at your home and laying the flooring. Sometimes an expert's eye also shows that an existing parquet floor can regain its original shine with a skillful treatment.

Moving house, a new addition to the family or other events are always reasons for new furniture or an addition to existing furnishings. With one or more pieces, for example a table, sofa or new lamp, you can create new highlights. Whatever you are looking for,in our three-floor showroom (almost) all your dreams will come true, from dining tables, beds and sofa beds to wardrobes and shelves. And so that you don't buy a pig in a poke, you can try out the beds in our bed studio at your leisure. While you choose and compare extensively, your children are in good hands in our play corner.

New colors bring soothing changes! We sew day and night curtains, Roman blinds, Biedermeier decorations and more according to your wishes. You can find the right fabrics in our store, where we have collections from various manufacturers and suppliers ready for you. To ensure that your new purchase is perfect all round, we fit curtain poles and rails in place with millimetre precision. You've also come to the right place for blinds, roller blinds, pleated blinds etc. in all colors and variations.

Many of our pieces of furniture have grown on us over the years. If you find it difficult to replace your old sofa or armchair or if you no longer really like a chair, there is a good alternative: your furniture will be reupholstered in our studio and covered with the upholstery of your choice. And they'll be as good as new again. We will be happy to advise you in our store or at your home.

For a good night's sleep, you need the right feathers. If you can't find what you're looking for in our selection of standard sizes, you can have your personal pillow or comforter made to measure in our workshop.

For regular cleaning, it's best to use our personal cleaning service. We pass on wool blankets, sheep's wool blankets and mattress covers to a professional cleaning company in Kriens, from whom we get everything back within 1 to 2 weeks.

Parquet floors need to be oiled from time to time, carpets need regular thorough cleaning.
We are happy to take on these tasks for you. But you can also do it yourself. In this case, we recommend our shampooing machine for daily hire and the appropriate cleaning products. And if you want to let a good spirit work in your absence, why not try our robot vacuum cleaner, which will reliably do the work for you.

To ensure that your wardrobe is perfectly cared for and cleaned at all times, we expanded our long-standing collaboration with Textilreinigung Muri AG in Kriens at the beginning of 2010 and set up a acceptance point in our store. In addition to carpets, textile blankets and mattress covers, we now also accept clothes, which our partner collects and returns to us twice a week.
