In 1923, its founder, Alfred Bettems, set up the village's 1st wine shop under the name of "Vieux Clos", then transformed for administrative reasons into "Vieux Coteau", and was the driving force behind the development of bottled wine for the region.

After his death in 1952, Alfred Bettems left his children, Daniel and Marianne, a legacy and a reputation to be safeguarded and preserved.

In 2001, Daniel left his family with wonderful memories. For the 3rd generation, he remains an example of generosity and simplicity.

Féchy welcomes you: Féchy is one of the most picturesque villages on the Côte. Dominating its territory, like a fragile old lady, the Romanesque church "named Marie" watches over its hillsides and winegrowers. Time doesn't seem to touch it, except for a few scratches. Its heart beats in unison with ours, it is the symbol of our village and our spirits.

It offers visitors a breathtaking view, Lake Geneva in its geographical form, the Savoy Mountains dominated by Mont Blanc.

If one day, by chance, you happen to pass through this corner of paradise, let yourself be carried away by the gentle village charm, by its inhabitants, by its rich taste and fabulous landscapes.

The grape varieties

The king grape variety, Chasselas covers 4/5 of the appellation. Grown in Féchy, it produces a fruity, generous wine. Pale yellow in color with golden highlights, it reveals subtle aromas of acacia flowers and lime blossom. On the palate, it reveals great finesse and harmony between terroir and fruit.

Appellation d'origine contrôlée

The Féchy appellation d'origine contrôlée brings together 40 winemakers and encaveurs, for a vineyard of 185 ha located halfway between Lausanne and Geneva.
Through the authenticity and quality of their wines, they contribute to the recovery of this prestigious appellation.

Our encavage stands out in particular thanks to the quality of its wines. So, everyone will be able to satisfy their desires.

La Cave du Vieux Côteau welcomes you from Monday to Friday as well as on Saturday mornings or by appointment.
We also welcome you for aperitifs or tastings for up to 50 people (by reservation).
