The Fondation Franz Weber was founded in 1975 by the famous Swiss environmentalist after whom it is named. It carries out diverse and passionate campaigns in Switzerland and around the world to protect wildlife and nature.

With investigations, public revelations, intensive discussions and lobbying, the Fondation Franz Weber (FFW) actively campaigns for the preservation of nature and landscapes, greater biodiversity and intact natural habitats. The foundation campaigns against the increasing threat and cruel suffering of animals. It is tirelessly committed to the protection and recognition of animal rights, as well as the abolition of brutal practices, such as bullfighting or the exploitation of pack animals.

The foundation regularly records victories for our planet. It implements concrete projects, such as the establishment and maintenance of nature reserves, or submits and wins popular initiatives and legal actions. Whether it is about the elephants in Africa, the baby seals in Canada, the Australian wild horses or glorious landscapes - FFW is constantly striving to show that nature and its splendor, wildlife and life do not belong to one country, but to all of humanity.

The FFW believes that man is part of his environment, of nature, of the earth. It is therefore our duty to defend it again and again and to give a voice to the voiceless.
