Flushing is also recommended when new system components are installed or an existing heating system is extended. The main reason why flushing is recommended is when individual or all heating circuits become blocked, which is noticed by the user due to cold zones or heating circuits. A blockage is caused by the narrowing of the pipe cross-section and leads to a loss of pressure in the pipe. As a result, the feed pump can no longer circulate enough water through the individual heating circuits. As a result, the little water cools down after just a few meters and the rest of the heating surface remains cold.
