SIT - Syndicat interprofessionnel de travailleuses et travailleurs

The SIT brings together workers from all economic sectors and professions (agriculture, construction, cleaning, industry, commerce, services, hospitality, domestic work, health, social services, civil service, etc.), of all nationalities and statuses.

Please note, however, that the SIT is a union that is only present in the canton of Geneva.

The SIT fights to

• defend and enforce the interests and rights of all workers
• strengthen solidarity among all workers regardless of profession, nationality, status, age, and gender
• improve wages, working conditions, and living standards for all categories of workers in the canton
• promoting equality between women and men in practice,
• implement economic and social legislation that guarantees comprehensive social security for workers and their families,
• strengthen the right of association and freedom of association,
• build a society based on solidarity and the satisfaction of the fundamental needs of all,
• place current climate issues at the heart of trade union, inter-professional, and sectoral struggles, and fight for both ecological and social transition.
