You are welcomed to Snortec by a specialized team. You fill in a questionnaire which is designed to assess whether it is simply snoring or whether there is a suspicion of sleep apnea. In the case of apnea, you will be referred to a specialized medical environment before the appliance is considered. We then carry out a general assessment of your dental arches to ensure that they are compatible with the wearing of a mandibular propeller. When all parameters are met, we take impressions of your teeth, which are used to prepare casts and fabricate your custom-made mandibular propeller. One to two weeks later, you return to the center to have your appliance fitted and adjusted. A short adaptation period is required to familiarize you with your new appliance.We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Snoring
In general, the relaxation during deep sleep of the muscles of the pharynx, palate, uvula and tongue causes a narrowing of the air passage and these rhino-pharyngeal soft tissues enter into vibration, producing the characteristic snoring noise. This muscular relaxation can go as far as blocking the passage of air altogether. In the latter case, there is a repeated interruption of breathing during the night, known as sleep apnea or sas. These problems are caused by being overweight, taking alcohol or medication before bedtime, among other factors.
