Adami SA

In 1946, immediately after the war, the initiative and pioneering spirit of 23-year-old Marco Adami led him to set up a small company in Giumaglio specializing in sanitary systems and central heating.

With just a simple toolbox, Marco Adami began traveling around the Maggia Valley, occasionally venturing as far as Locarno.

His professional skills were immediately appreciated by his customers, and the business grew to such an extent that in 1949 he hired his first employee.

The company grew, and in 1967, his young son Fabio decided to undertake an apprenticeship as a sanitary and heating system installer alongside his father Marco.

This desire to continue the family business was reinforced in 1981, when the company name was changed to Adami Marco & figlio.

However, in 1983, Fabio Adami was forced to take over the company entirely after the unexpected death of his father Marco Adami. Twelve years later, in 1995, Fabio Adami tragically lost his life at the age of 43 following a serious motorway accident. The reins of the family business were then taken over by his wife Daniela and sons Patrick and Roberto, who converted the company into a public limited company.

Patrick Adami, who had established himself in previous years as a talented hockey player in the national A and B leagues, decided to end his sporting career in 1998 and joined the company full-time, assisted by technician Renato Lampert.

Adami SA currently consists of Patrick Adami, his mother Daniela Adami (who handles administrative matters), and seven employees (five workers and two apprentices).

In addition to being a member of Suissetec (Swiss and Liechtenstein Association for Building Technology), Adami SA has been committed to training apprentices for many years and is constantly keeping up with the times.
