Our services relating to garbage collection

With our modern fleet of vehicles, we have been providing reliable and competent waste collection services in numerous  municipalities in Glarnerland, March and the Linth region for many years. Our vehicles are now equipped with container weighing equipment, which enables us to offer industrial and commercial waste collection with weight recording. The container weighing equipment is calibrated annually and checked by the responsible calibration master. Thanks to our IT system, we can offer our customers a complete solution from waste collection to customer management, invoicing, payment control and dunning.

Here are a few more tips on waste collection that make life easier for us (all)
...

• Do not overfill garbage bags and tape them up so that they can still be lifted by the strings without tearing
• Do not pack any pointed or sharp-edged objects such as knives, syringes, etc.
  into the bags (risk of injury!)
• Only pack combustible material that cannot be recycled
  into the garbage bags
• Only use the fee sacks or sacks
  with fee stamps valid in the collection area
• Provide bulky items with sufficient fee stamps
• Overfilled commercial containers cannot be emptied,
  as otherwise the weight recording will be impaired
• Put out garbage in good time and in a clearly visible place
  (collections start at 07:00)
• Trees and bushes hanging in the street must be cut back sufficiently and in good time. Otherwise there is a risk of them hitting our loaders in the face or damaging the pipes and hoses on the roof of the refuse truck or its mirrors and paintwork. According to the road regulations, no obstacles may protrude into the road up to a height of 4.50 m.

 

Our cardboard collection services

We have been offering separate collection of used cardboard for industry, trade and municipalities for several years. We collect the cardboard from our customers with a refuse truck and send it for recycling. Compensation is paid quarterly based on the weight of the cardboard collected. It is actually slightly lower than if the cardboard was disposed of as commercial waste. Depending on the quantity and storage options at the customer's premises, collection can take place weekly, fortnightly, monthly or on request. To ensure that the cardboard can be reused, it is important that it does not contain any foreign materials such as polystyrene filling material, plastic bags, wood, metal, glass, food waste, etc. Unfortunately, we often experience unpleasant surprises in this regard, especially at municipal collection points, when people misuse the cardboard collection for illegal waste disposal.

Whether this is intentional or whether they assume that the cardboard will be sent to the waste incineration plant as it is collected in the refuse collection vehicle is beyond our knowledge. Unfortunately, their behavior means that our people have to laboriously and time-consuming check the contents of all closed boxes and paper bags etc...

Here are a few more tips on cardboard collection
that make life easier for us (all)...

• Only hand over pure old cardboard for collection, no foreign materials such as polystyrene filling material, plastic bags, glass, food, etc.
• Remove any foreign materials yourself and hand them over to the appropriate separate collection (e.g. Wannerit, glass, PET, etc.) or, if there is none, hand them over to the garbage collection service
• Packaging such as milk cartons that have a plastic twist-off lid and plastic and aluminum coatings on the inside belong in the garbage and are not suitable for carton collection
• Collection points are loaded by hand into the refuse truck. Small pieces of cardboard should therefore be packed in larger boxes. It's tedious when you have to pick up 100 toilet paper cardboard rolls on the ground...

Possible uses for our work platforms

For work at height where a ladder is too dangerous or too cumbersome and where erecting scaffolding is not worthwhile or not possible, we offer our practical work platforms for hire. They can be rented for self-service if the appropriate driver's license is available, or they can also be rented complete with an employee to operate them.

Here are some possible uses:

• Painting work on facades and soffits
• Tree pruning
• Cleaning windows and facades
• Repairs to roofs, windows, roller shutters, etc.
• Cleaning roof water drains
• Maintenance of street lighting
• Installation of advertising boards, advertising banners, decorations, Christmas lighting, etc.
