Ueli Zogg Tiefbau AG has a wide range of activities. We provide the following services:

Pipe construction

We carry out excavation work for sewerage, water, electricity, TV, telephone, and gas pipelines. We construct drainage channels.

Earth drilling (earth rockets)

In difficult situations where digging would be impossible or very difficult, we use earth rockets, provided that no other pipes or cables are in the way.

This allows us to cross under roads without damaging the surface, or the earth rocket can be placed in a basement and pushed under the house (stairs, forecourts, trees) to the target pit.

This allows protective pipes with a diameter of up to 125 mm to be pulled in at distances of up to 15 meters.

Natural stone walls

Natural stone is a very popular material among our customers. It can be used in a wide variety of ways. Stream reinforcement, slope stabilization, road underpinning, garden walls, stairs, etc., or simply for decoration. In addition, there are many different types of stone, which further increases the variety of options. The stones are moved using grapples attached to excavators. This allows the stones to be turned and rotated as desired until they fit. If a very high level of strength is required, they are set in concrete.

Building renovations

If an old house wall needs to be replaced, the affected part of the house is supported with props, the old wall is exposed with an excavator and shovel, and then demolished. Later, a foundation is concreted, the wall is formworked and concreted, drainage pipes are laid if necessary, and the new wall is backfilled with excavated material.

Excavation work

Whether excavating for a single-family home, a barn, a slurry tank, a swimming pool, or digging a gravel pit, we usually use our larger machines. Such work often requires high digging performance and a lot of power. Together with the transport company Christian Zogg, we usually remove the excavated material ourselves and take it to prepared landfills. If large stones or even rock are encountered, we can attach demolition hammers to our machines. These are used to break up the stones so that they can be reloaded and transported away.

Paving work

When laying paving, we first level the ground and then compact it thoroughly. The hot paving is delivered in a thermo-trough and usually spread by hand to the desired thickness before being compacted.

In many cases, paving slabs are laid in advance to provide a neat finish. Drainage must also be well planned in advance, as there is more surface water on a paved area than on a gravel or stone area.

Work in forests and waterways, renaturation

We carry out work for the local community of Grabs such as: repairing alpine roads and clearing debris, creating and maintaining forest management paths, renewing slurry tanks and paved manure pits, forest cleaning, etc.

In addition, drainage ditches in the reed beds are cleaned and biotopes are created.

Spring tapping

The time for collecting water is usually determined by the "lunar calendar." It is very important to choose the right time and collect the water at a specific location so that as little surface water as possible can penetrate the spring and none of it dries up.

The catchment is then sealed with clay. Clean, washed gravel fills the catchment so that it cannot be compressed. Depending on the amount of water, pipes of the appropriate size are laid, which then lead to houses, wells, or a tank.

On-call service for pipe breaks

In our civil engineering business, we make sure that someone is always available and on call at weekends or during holidays. When water pipes burst, it is usually necessary to act quickly, as the damage can quickly become extensive with water loss and environmental damage.

Stream construction

After heavy rainfall or even storms, it is often necessary to restore or rebuild various parts of a stream. Our Schreibagger machines with grapples are well suited for this demanding work. Depending on the course of the stream or the strength of the current, the stones are set in concrete. By moving large stones, the course of the stream can be controlled or slowed down somewhat. If larger stones need to be delivered, this is usually done by the transport company Christian Zogg with its four-axle truck with rear crane.

Concrete work

We are happy to carry out stable construction, slurry tanks, manure pits, concrete work on houses, or other civil engineering work for you.

All of this is done from A to Z, of course, meaning everything from excavation to landscaping.

Landscaping

We are happy to build parking lots, paths, seating areas, etc. for you from A to Z.

This includes: excavation and removal, boxing, compaction, laying retaining strips and curbs, creating a subgrade, laying stones and slabs, and adapting the surroundings.

Road construction

We are happy to build roads for you from A to Z.

This includes excavation, boxing, compaction, installing drainage pipes, filling road edges if necessary, or even building retaining walls with natural stones and adapting the surroundings. Possible surfaces are: paving, grid stones, concrete, gravel.

Winter

While most construction machinery is shut down or in the workshop for servicing during the winter, we need some of our vehicles for winter service. Together with Christian Zogg (transport company), we clear a large part of the roads on Grabserberg and part of the village for the municipality of Grabs. In the event of more or less normal snowfall, a Unimock and a transporter are used. In the event of heavier snowfall, a mobile snow blower and a tractor are also used.
