Description
We are vue. - the competence center for ophthalmology and eye surgery
In January 2022, the vue. Augenzentrum Grenchen was opened as a competence center for ophthalmology. It offers high-quality services in all areas of ophthalmology and eye surgery. This also includes highly specialized diagnostic examinations and treatments of the eye.
From 01 September 2023, Dr. med. Simon Rothenbühler will take over the management of the site. During his many years at the University Hospital Basel, he was able to gain a wealth of experience in general ophthalmology and acquire his focus as a retina specialist.
As of 1 March 2024, Dr Kyriaki Mazaraki has joined our team in Grenchen.
As a specialist in ophthalmology, Dr Mazaraki has many years of experience in ophthalmology. She has lived in the region for several years, speaks German, English, Greek and French.
Our are focused on general ophthalmology and anterior segment surgery for cataracts and glaucoma. We have particular experience in the consultation and implantation of special lenses.
Another focus is the diagnosis and medical treatment of macular diseases, diabetes, age-related macular degeneration and retinal vascular occlusion. Here, we can draw on years of experience and the development of our own successful treatment regimens.
Special expertise in the field of macular, vitreous and retinal surgery now enables us to offer complex surgical procedures on the anterior and posterior segments of the eye using minimally invasive, sutureless surgical techniques in Biel. A state-of-the-art operating room is available for this purpose at the center.
