1954
Simon Addor founds a transport company in Lauenen. The vehicle fleet consists of an old Saurer truck.
In the same year, he builds the gravel plant building (today the Hotel Alpenland stands on this site).
1955
Purchase of the first Volvo 2-axle tipper and the first excavator. Soon, orders come in for large construction projects that are still standing today. Gravel is delivered for military tunnel construction, for the high-voltage lines of the Sanetsch power plant, and concrete gravel for the runway.
1957
The first excavation orders are carried out.
1968
Expansion of business activities to include demolition work.
1977
The company headquarters is relocated from Lauenen to Gstaad.
1981
Heinz Addor (2nd generation) joins the company as managing director. The company employs ten people.
The vehicle fleet consists of five trucks and eight construction machines.
Heinz Addor continuously expands the company.
1984
Heinz Addor expands the range of services to include national and international transport, which helps to compensate for seasonal fluctuations.
The company boss also repeatedly carries out long-distance transport himself, for example to Spain and England.
1989/90
A factory hall including a new workshop building is constructed in Lauenen.
1993
Business taken over by Heinz Addor (2nd generation)
2004
50th anniversary
2007
New workshop and office building constructed in Grund/Gstaad. Daughter Daniela, a trained businesswoman, joins the company. She is responsible for scheduling.
2008
Son-in-law Marco starts working for the company as a construction machine operator.
2010
Takeover of Gehret AG, a construction company in Feutersoey, with 13 employees,
including vehicle and machine fleet.
2014
60th anniversary. Employment of over 50 employees.

Environmental protection

We continuously invest in a modern fleet of machinery and vehicles, which are always equipped with the latest Euro standard engines.

Always one step ahead of the times, we have already equipped all our machines with particle filters and bio-oil ahead of the mandatory requirements. We also strive to process any material that accumulates and reuse it as recycled material.

Demolition work

We have been involved in demolition work for over 40 years.
The state-of-the-art Oil-Quick quick-change system allows excavator attachments to be changed in a matter of seconds without manual assistance.

Excavation work

One of the many activities of our company is excavation work.

We are equipped to handle any type of soil (rock, moor, clay, etc.).

Excavators ranging from 0.9 to 32 tons are available for all types of work.

In the field of road construction, we carry out the following work for you:

Landscaping

We design your surroundings according to your individual wishes using various types of natural stone and Terra-Mur green construction.
We also create driveways and hard surfaces, as well as terraces with various composite stones.

Oil Quick & GPS

We were one of the first Swiss companies in the construction machinery sector to equip our machines with Oil Quick. This means that excavator operators can change any attachment, such as sorting grapples, concrete breakers, bucket separators, vibratory plates, and swing buckets, from the cab. This means that no hoses need to be attached or detached; everything runs smoothly without the operator having to leave the excavator. This enables very efficient working and high daily output. Excavator control via GPS also works optimally on several construction machines, enabling very precise work.

Gravel processing & delivery

 

Addor's first activity in 1954 was gravel extraction in the Lauibach Rohr, Lauenen.
Today, we mainly process concrete gravel 0-32 from the Lauibach.
We also process gravel in two quarries in Lauenen and Meielsgrund.
We extract the following materials from these quarries:

• Alpine limestone blocks in various sizes
• Seepage gravel
• Wall gravel I
• Levelling gravel

We process various materials for reuse from excavation pits containing rock and stone, as well as demolition concrete from various construction sites. In addition, our material processing and washing plant enables us to extract the following materials from the ground:

• Sand 0-4 mm
• Round gravel 4-8 mm
• Round gravel 8-16 mm
• Round gravel 16-32/60 mm
• Round gravel 32-60/100 mm

Dump truck transport

 

Whether gravel, stones, concrete, excavated material, or other materials, whether tipped sideways or backwards, or deposited in a dumpster, whether with a semi-truck or a 3-axle dump truck, we are happy to serve you according to your requirements and space constraints.
Our fleet of vehicles for tipper transport consists of the following trucks:

• 3-axle tipper (26 tons total weight / bridge capacity 10 m³)
• 4-axle tipper (32 tons total weight / bridge capacity 12 m3)
• 5-axle tipper (40 tons total weight / bridge capacity 15m3)
• Semi-trailer
  (40 tons total weight / bridge capacity up to 26 m3)

Skip transport / skip service

 

Addor transports skips with one hook lift (5-axle), three hook lifts (4-axle), and two trucks with Welakia superstructures (2-axle).

Workshop

We have our own workshop for repairs and maintenance of our vehicles and construction machinery. Trained truck, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, and car mechanics are employed here. Thanks to the good cooperation within the team, repairs can be carried out in the shortest possible time. From in-house construction to repairs and servicing, almost everything is carried out in our own workshop or on site at the respective construction site.
