Wood as a raw material
On the sawmill, we cut fine-grained round timber from the surrounding mountain forests of Habkern into special assortments that are not available commercially (e.g. large, extra-long dimensions, etc.).
Wood as a material is environmentally friendly, offers many processing options and leaves room for creativity.
We plane our own paneling, in various widths and lengths.We only use wood felled in winter, as it was used in the past. Even today, you can still marvel at over 400-year-old log buildings in Habkern that serve as homes.Log construction
Block construction is the layering of round or angular timbers.
Block construction is our strength. The latest findings are combined and applied with traditional knowledge. Holzbau Zenger's log houses are ecological, durable and offer a good living climate.
We plane (plaster) the hardened log house walls by hand, not sand them.
Conversions / renovations / monument preservation
We carry out traditional or modern customer orders in this area.
We also use local, unglued wood wherever possible. Particularly beautiful paneling for interior fittings or formwork in spruce or mountain pine (Dähle) come from our own production.
Heat insulation and insulation are of an ecological nature, be it cellulose, wood fibres, sheep's wool, etc.
Furniture / interior design
We can supply you with various furniture and furnishings for the garden or home. We also supply traditional-style alpine dairy furnishings. Stairs are another product from our workshop.
