1932, when it all began
In 1932, my grandfather, Johann Niffeler (pictured), was able to purchase the small bakery in Henau from its then owner, Mr. J. Wick.
In 1965, my father, Hans Niffeler (left), took over this little gem and steadily expanded the bakery. The product range was also constantly adapted.
My father brought the recipes for pralines and specialties with him from his years of traveling. The recipes are still "secret" today and are not passed on.
From an initial two-man operation, the business has grown steadily over the years. Today, 16 people have found employment at the Niffeler AG bakery and pastry shop.
Since 1998, I, Sämi Niffeler, have been the third-generation owner of the village bakery.
In 2010, Carmen came into my life and since then we have been running the Niffeler AG bakery and confectionery together.
