In 2001, the social welfare authority of the municipality of Herrliberg created a mission statement for the elderly which, among other things, provides for an information and coordination office for all matters relating to old age.

The operational management of this office was transferred to Pro Senectute Canton Zurich in 2002 on behalf of the political municipality of Herrliberg.

This office also offers services that are carried out by volunteers.
