The body shop was founded in 1961 by Kurt Thomet Senior.

On December 31, 2016, Mr. Thomet Senior ceased trading. (Garage/Carrosserie Thomet)

Since January 1, 2017, the new company "Carrosserie Thomet," founded by Kurt Thomet Jr., can be found at the same address.
