When Hans Heinrich Schärer moved to the Hirzel farm inherited from his wife Susanne in 1771, it was clear that the Schärer family had come to stay.

First they offered simple handicraft and sewing work, later carpentry work was created in the small kitchen room and finally the first Hirzel furniture. Our commitment to quality and our love of craftsmanship quickly made the rounds and paved the way for our 180-year success story, now in its sixth generation under Jürg Schärer.
