Orthopaedic insoles

Insoles are as individual as the patient's feet. They are manufactured according to a doctor's prescription to relieve, guide and cushion the feet.
Classic insoles are usually used as a "static aid" and to relieve pressure points.

Sensomotor insoles

Sensomotor insoles stimulate the body via the neuromuscular system to perform "correct" movement repetitions. They improve walking coordination and optimize movement sequences. The muscle control of the walking apparatus is influenced by targeted pressure on special nerves and tendons in the foot. The body regulates itself and practises a new, correct movement pattern.

Orthopaedic custom shoes

The custom shoes are always made using a specially manufactured last. An exact negative is created directly from the foot using a plaster model. The last is checked using trial shoes.

Orthopaedic standard shoes

In order to avoid the costly production of orthopaedic custom shoes, an orthopaedic standard shoe can often be produced (in consultation between the doctor, patient and OSM).

In addition to orthopaedic foot orthoses, the following shoe modifications can also be considered.

Orthopaedic shoe modifications

Shoe modifications aim to alleviate functional deficits and have a therapeutic effect.

Examples:

-         Buffer heels cushion the impact

-        Roll-off aids support walking behavior and relieve pressure on the joints

-         Stabilizers help with osteoarthritis and overloading in the forefoot

-         Leg shortening compensators are fitted both inside and outside the shoe
