Chimney sweeping

We are responsible for cleaning all combustion systems in the municipalities of Landquart, Mastrils, Igis, Zizers, Untervaz, Trimmis, Says, and Haldenstein. A clean combustion system helps to save fuel, and clean heating surfaces can absorb more heat. The "layer of soot" acts as insulation for the heating surfaces. Lower fuel consumption also means fewer pollutants are released into the air. Damage to combustion systems can be detected and repaired at an early stage. Regular cleaning of combustion systems is essential for energy savings and fire prevention. The appropriate cleaning intervals are specified by the cantonal building insurance company.

 

Official combustion inspection/exhaust gas measurement

We carry out combustion inspections (emission measurements) on all oil and gas combustion systems up to 1 MW. This work helps to protect the environment and prevent unnecessary, excessive emissions.

The Air Pollution Control Ordinance specifies the limit values for fuels. This protects people, animals, and the environment. The combustion inspection can be used to determine whether the fuel is being burned optimally and the limit values are not being exceeded.

 

Wood combustion control up to 70 kW

Visual wood combustion inspection

Manually fed wood combustion, especially incorrectly operated and outdated residential combustion systems, have given wood energy a bad image in terms of harmful air pollutants.
Only natural wood may be burned in small residential furnaces up to 70 kW. These furnaces are not subject to periodic measurement, but must be visually inspected by a chimney sweep:

• the combustion chamber and ashes for deposits and residues of prohibited fuels
• Wood storage for exclusively natural, dry firewood, as well as the air hygiene functionality of the combustion system

Acceptance measurement of new systems within 3–12 months.

 

Ventilation cleaning

The air flow in the ventilation system also transports dust and dirt. This gets stuck in the ventilation pipes and filters. The dirt is an ideal breeding ground for bacteria and mold, which are harmful to health and therefore have no place in the air we breathe.

• Exhaust air pipes from clothes dryers
• Central vacuum cleaner systems
• Final cleaning of ventilation systems after construction
