Hair is an appendage of the skin (many people look like this ;-), which develops in the 3rd month of pregnancy. At the same time, hair is the most beautiful adornment of the human body, which always grows back, fortunately ;-), unless male hormones get in the way, but there are already tablets and remedies that bring a lot of success.

Keratin straightening

Keratin straightening originated in Brazil and is supposed to give our hair what many of us want - smooth, shiny hair without having to tame it with a straightener after every wash. Many reasons...

If the sebaceous glands on the head produce too little oil, the scalp and hair become dry and brittle. The main cause of this phenomenon is environmental influences, but predisposition also plays a major role. Nutrition should also be taken into account.

The hair does not shine, looks dull and brittle like straw - these are the "symptoms" of dry hair. The reason for the dryness on the scalp is simple: the corresponding sebaceous glands produce too little oil to keep the hair moisturized. Triggers are usually environmental influences - for example, heat, dry air at work and sunlight.

Overexcessive hair care (using the wrong shampoos or soaps) or too frequent use of hair dryers and straighteners can also be a reason. More rarely, the cause is an illness - such as hypothyroidism or anorexia nervosa - or malnutrition.
Stressed hair
Dry hair is not the same as stressed hair. In the former, the layers of the hair remain intact.
Neither the cuticle, the outermost sheath, nor the cortex (middle layer) or the core (medulla) show any changes in people with dry curly hair. In contrast, stressed hair is functionally damaged, for example due to frequent dyeing, bleaching and perming. The chemical structure is altered down to the middle layer of the hair, the cortex is porous and less resistant.

Splits
Splits are the fraying and splitting of the ends of the hair. Split ends mainly occur in long hair due to the hair hitting the shoulders. One of the reasons for split ends is environmental influences such as strong sunlight or excessive stress when styling hair, which the hair has been exposed to over a period of several years. Split ends are also encouraged by frequent hair coloring.
The hair is shortened during treatment, and hair treatments with a high lipid content are also advisable. Panthenol can reduce slight hair breakage and split ends by around a third, or use a keratin treatment to prevent further split ends. A tip fluid is also essential.
