The history of Heller Automobile AG began 25 years ago and the company was founded in 1996. Christian Heller opened the Opel branch on Unterseestrasse in Kreuzlingen together with Garage Krapf AG in Weinfelden. Christian Heller was able to expand his stake in the company in 2003 and take over 100 percent of the garage.

This led to the creation of Heller Automobile AG, which Christian Heller has since run as owner together with his wife Fabienne Heller. On October 13, 2009, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new business at Seetalstrasse 89 in Kreuzlingen took place. The new business opened on September 1, 2010, and on Friday, October 1, 2010, the grand opening was celebrated with customers and authorities in a festive setting. Over the years, the business has continued to develop and now represents the Opel and Suzuki brands, with HYUNDAI being added in August 2022.
