What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of complaints of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine.

The chiropractor works with various manual techniques, for example with the specific mobilization of the joints ("adjustment", fine adjustment) to release blockages or reduced mobility of a joint. He uses a targeted, usually pain-free movement on the affected vertebral joint, during which joint receptors and the corresponding segment of the nervous system are positively influenced. The manual intervention relaxes the affected muscles, increases the mobility of the joint and reduces pain.
