As early as 1892, the establishment of a Raiffeisenkasse was discussed at a farmers' meeting in Kaisten. In 1893, they wanted to go ahead with the foundation, but the cantonal government of the time did not approve the statutes. In 1917, 37 men laid the foundations for healthy development by founding the Kaisten Loan Fund. In 1935, the 100th member was welcomed. In 1979, the new bank building in Mitteldorf was occupied.

The mergers with Raiffeisenkasse Ittenthal in 1992 and with Raiffeisenbank Sulz in 2004 laid the foundations for the bank's successful continued existence.
