OIBT control
About us
CheckElec Contrôle Sàrl carries out electrical installation inspections in accordance with the OIBT (Ordinance on Low Voltage Installations) and is based in La Tour-de-Peilz. Its aim is to ensure that electrical installations comply with regulatory requirements at all times.
The employees who carry out the inspections are certified electrical safety advisors, enabling them to perform technical assessments of electrical installations. They have a knack for synthesis and knowledge of the field, the equipment, and the problems encountered by customers and professionals.
They provide a report on any faults found and offer advice on the safety of people and property. They help you understand the risks associated with electricity and how to protect yourself from them in a competent manner.
They are at your disposal to carry out inspections or provide any additional information you may require.

Before handover to the owner, a final inspection specific to the company must be carried out by a professional in accordance with Art. 8 of the OIBT or by an inspector, and the results must be recorded in a safety report.
The owner of an installation with an inspection period of less than 20 years according to the annex to the OIBT shall have an acceptance inspection carried out by an independent body within six months of acceptance of the installation and shall submit the safety report to the operator or, in the case of installations according to Art. 32, para. 2, to the Inspectorate.
At least six months before the expiry of an inspection period in accordance with the Annex to the OIBT, network operators shall invite the owners of the installations they supply in writing to submit a safety report in accordance with Art. 37 before the end of the inspection period. Electrical installations subject to inspection every 10 or 20 years must also be inspected after any change of ownership if the last inspection was carried out five years ago.
Photovoltaic installations are subject to acceptance inspections by an organization that is independent of the installation.
Certification for a guarantee of origin (for Pronovo) allows each kilowatt-hour of electricity produced to be valued for the promotion of renewable energies (<30kVA).
