If an installation with a 10-year or shorter inspection period is newly created or modified, it must be inspected by an independent inspection body.

If defects are found, these must be rectified by the installer.

Only then will we sign the safety certificate prepared by the electrical installer.

Properties such as industrial, commercial, service companies or public buildings have inspection periods of less than 20 years.

The owners of electrical installations are responsible for their safe operation and maintenance in accordance with the Swiss Federal Ordinance on Heavy Current Installations and to ensure this, electrical installations are inspected at periodic intervals.

Every day you use a variety of electrical equipment for your professional activity or in your household.

By periodically checking electrical equipment, we can reduce the risk of electrical accidents caused by faulty equipment.

 

Employers are obliged by the following legal provisions to keep electrical equipment in proper condition, to check it and to document it:

Equipment testing in accordance with DIN VDE 0701-0702.

Test and inspection interval

 

The test must be carried out for all mobile electrical equipment used by the employee for work assignments. The test interval is specified in accordance with Elektrosuisse Info 3024d (guide values):

 

Every 12 months  workshops, construction sites, laboratories, etc.

Every 24 months  office operations, nursing stations, homes, etc.
