Description
MEDICAL CONTACT LENSES
SPECIALIST IN CONTACT LENSES
The Contactology as we practice it, is a specialty in its own right, an art in itself, a technical challenge, requiring special knowledge of Optometry and above all long experience enabling optimal vision as well as the highest SWISS MADE reference in technical precision. Consultation by your contact lens specialist on medical prescription, CONTACTOLOGY MEDICALE, enables custom fitting by contact lenses in the most complex cases such as pathologies of keratoconus or keratoplasty, but also more simply in cases of Myopia, Hyperopia, Presbyopia, Astigmatism, Aphakia.
The human eye provides sharp vision when it is perfectly spherical. Distortions can occur when the eyeball or cornea are not quite spherical, causing blurred vision. Frequently diagnosed vision problems, the most common are: astigmatism, myopia, hyperopia and presbyopia. Heredity is often the cause of astigmatism, myopia and hyperopia, and there is no means of prevention.
Presbyopia is a vision anomaly due mainly to aging, nothing can be done to prevent it.The main symptoms encountered range from blurred vision to visual fatigue to headaches. In most cases, problems can be corrected with contact lenses. Should you experience any problems whatsoever with your vision, we strongly advise you to consult an eye care professional.
.We specialize more particularly in cases of acute keratoconus presenting progressive irregular astigmatism accelerating the deterioration of visual acuity. We apply the latest generation hybrid lenses and in most cases, keratoconus can be corrected with contact lenses.
Keratoconus, or keratoconus from the Greek keratos for cornea and conus for cone shape, is a bilateral, asymmetrical, idiopathic corneal dystrophy characterized by progressive, non-inflammatory thinning.
