For over 80 years, Charpentes Vial SA has been a recognized partner in timber construction in French-speaking Switzerland. Founded in 1941, the family-run business currently employs 50 people.

Since 2015, the company has been managed by Grégoire Vial.

Visionary, the Fribourg-based company has constantly expanded. In a bid to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment, it has specialized in the construction of mixed wood-concrete slabs without metal connectors. Numerous projects, such as the construction of 4 school and after-school buildings in the Vergers eco-district in Meyrin and the new Riant-Pré school in Lausanne, have benefited from this system.

Eager to pass on its knowledge, the company trains 10 carpenter apprentices every year.
