Since April 2008, KiTA Obersimmental has been offering its services as a family-supplementary, professional childcare service in Zweisimmen. It is run in accordance with cantonal guidelines. The association is authorized by the Health and Welfare Directorate GEF of the Canton of Bern to run a KiTA.

• The daycare centre is open to all children and accepts children from the age of 3 months (usually until they start kindergarten).

• Admission is independent of origin, denomination, nationality and income.

• The association's board of directors / the operating committee may also admit children of vacation guests if the childcare places allow. The childcare costs shall be charged in full. The board sets daily or half-day flat rates.

The KiTA Obersimmental can look after 22 children at the same time. There has been another location in Lenk since November 2010.
