Birth of ecopotable
For many years, the Demonsant company (founded in 1971) has been involved in the installation and maintenance of fountains.
Two types of connection, preserving the potability of the water, were mainly used:

- The "gauge" system: a restrictor allowing the fountain's flow rate to be regulated, with the water running continuously (24 hours a day).

- The "timer" system: a device for adjusting the fountain's operating time, the water flows, for example, from 7am to 10pm.

The disadvantage of these systems is their high consumption of drinking water.

Fountains with non-permanent flow encounter potability problems linked to water stagnating in the pipes.
Some of these fountains have had to be labeled "non-potable water" or taken out of service.

There was a need for a system that would both save water and preserve its potability.

After extensive testing with various prototypes, we developed ecopotable: the system that preserves the potability of water from fountains without continuous flow.
