The journey from Linthal to Braunwald is a unique experience in itself. While in 1907 the wooden carriage still took 20 minutes to reach Braunwald, today's Braunwald Railway, with a 64% gradient, takes just 7 minutes from Linthal to the panoramic sun terrace. The funicular is now sporting a new livery to mark its 100th anniversary in 2007.
