The Locarno La Carità Regional Hospital offers its patients the highest quality medical, surgical, and emergency care services.
The services offered to the local population and the many tourists who visit the region each year are varied and complement those provided by the other institutions that make up the EOC multi-site hospital, thus ensuring one of the distinctive features of the Cantonal Hospital Authority: a multidisciplinary approach and uniform patient care.
Examples include: the Category A Emergency Department, the dialysis clinic (also open to non-residents), the intensive care service, a safe and welcoming maternity ward that works in close collaboration with our neonatology unit, and, for those interested in complementary therapies, the Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic.
The doctors, nursing and technical staff, as well as the hospitality staff, contribute to the excellent reputation of our hospital, the only healthcare institution in Switzerland to have achieved Joint Commission International accreditation for excellence in May 2008, confirming its position among the healthcare facilities most attentive to quality and patient safety.
The Locarno Regional Hospital works closely with general practitioners and specialists in the Locarno area (Circolo medico Locarno e Valli) and, like all the other healthcare facilities that make up the EOC multi-site hospital, is a point of access not only to the individual institution but also to the entire EOC hospital structure and the specializations it offers.
