In our practice we take on both patients who need surgery that can be performed directly by us in the office and patients who need preoperative consultation in anticipation of surgery in the hospital setting. Surgical intake begins with the preoperative visit, a sensitive time for the patient where initial contact with the operator is established and where the foundation is laid for a solid relationship of trust that allows both patient and surgeon to be able to cope with the sensitive perioperative phase. A good surgical outcome begins with preoperative preparation that aims to minimize influential risk factors and where interdisciplinarity is very important. Thanks to the presence of Dr. J. Al-Mauid and Dr. M. Giuliani and the practice's collaborations with health facilities in the area, the practice is able to offer patients differentiated care of the most frequent pathologies in the field of visceral surgery, thoracic surgery, and in the field of traumatology of the musculoskeletal system. For cases with high risk and surgical complexity, we collaborate with university referral centers in Switzerland.

In this particular period, we ask you to observe the following rules within our medical practice:

• Present yourself in the medical office with a mask (adults and children from middle school onwards)
• Disinfect your hands upon entering the medical office
• Show up without brothers/sisters (as much as possible)
• It may happen that once you are announced at the reception, you are asked to wait your turn outside the building
