Luzerner Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerverband LLV

The Lucerne Teachers' Association (LLV) represents the interests of its members in trade union and educational matters relating to public schools in the canton of Lucerne. It acts as a discussion and negotiation partner for political bodies and the education administration.

The LLV is committed to effective and sustainable education. It addresses issues relating to school development and critically observes the resulting change processes. In order for developments to be realized, framework conditions must be created that enable this process. We are aware of our position in the entire education sector and fulfill this responsibility to the best of our knowledge and belief. Even though we as a professional association do not exercise any decision-making function, the teachers in every school in our canton are responsible for the direct implementation of the learning process in schools. That is why we are working together to build pressure from below.

The LLV

• is the cantonal professional association of Lucerne elementary school teachers

• is a cantonal section of the Swiss Teachers' Association LCH

• includes conferences, level and subject organizations of elementary schools

• includes numerous regional organizations in the canton of Lucerne

• and has been working tirelessly to promote the interests of Lucerne teachers since September 17, 1973.
