Our region is distinguished by its great natural qualities and the incredible diversity of its subsoil. Gravel, sand, clay, marl, molasse, limestone or pudding alternate in the Lavaux and breathe a very specific soul into the wines of each appellation.

Winegrowers can count on the precious help of Lavaux's three suns. The steep slopes improve the vines' exposure to the sun's rays, the lake acts as a mirror and the walls store up the heat.
