Overview
The Lyssbach Small Animal Practice opened in May 2004. Today, four veterinarians, six veterinary practice assistants (VPAs), four VPA apprentices, a chiropractor, and a homeopath care for the well-being of your dogs, cats, zoo animals, and pets here in the center of Lyss.
In addition to preventive measures such as vaccinations, deworming, and regular health checks in a pleasant atmosphere, we offer your animals comprehensive care in the event of illness or accident. Modern infrastructure, continuous training for our veterinarians and veterinary assistants, and close cooperation with specialists in various fields enable us to provide our patients with optimal care in every situation.
Philosophy
Our highest goal as a veterinary practice is, of course, the well-being of our patients. We believe that achieving this goal requires more than just expertise, continuous training of our staff, and modern infrastructure:
Our patients are all different, and so are their owners—with their own experiences, insights, and personal philosophies on life. This means that different people in the same situation have very different views and needs—especially when it comes to the well-being of their pet.
Our task as a veterinary practice is therefore not only to care for our patients according to all the rules of modern medical science, but also to respond to the personal needs of the owners and to find the solution that is optimal for both the animal and the owner in every problem situation.
In concrete terms, this means that if an animal is sick or injured, there are often several ways to address or solve the problem. In this situation, we see ourselves not only as providers of medical services, but above all as advisors and mediators.
