Impresa Forestale F.lli Zanetti was founded in 1981 as a silviculture enterprise.
Constituted initially by just two brothers, it can now rely on a working staff of certified silviculturists, forestry workers, and apprentices. Over the years, it has further perfected itself in tree care and cutting and nature engineering work by equipping itself with the necessary machinery and equipment. It is also the first company in Ticino that sensed the need to make use of aerial platforms for work at height. It currently has several shuttles up to 40 m high used in both the forestry and construction sectors. Where its own means do not reach, it specializes in work at height, such as tree climbing for climbing trees and suspended work on ropes for climbing work. 

Aware of the need to engage in the renewable energy sector, it wanted to become active in the production and trade of wood chips used mainly as combustion material for modern heating systems and, thanks to two trucks, it can guarantee daily transportation services throughout Ticino.
Along with its activities, it has tried to develop an increasingly pronounced sensitivity to safety at work, which, in fact, is set to the search for the lowest possible risk by referring to state-of-the-art safety equipment. In recent years it has taken on the following sales representations: environmentally friendly Aspen gasoline, Jonsered forestry equipment, Mascot work clothes, La Sportiva shoes, Petzl safety equipment. It also organizes, by making use of qualified and trained people, basic safety courses for work at heights to meet the needs that have arisen as a result of the entry into force of the new Construction Work Ordinance 2006.

Ships up to 23 m in height can also be rented without a driver, B license required.

Lumber chipping
We are active in the production and trade of wood chips as well as the promoter and owner of a wood biomass district heating plant located in Madonna del Piano.
 
We currently have 2 large wood chipping machines
 
Chipwood chips employment:

• Combustion material for our wood biomass district heating plant or other modern wood heating plants.
• Mulch mulch for flower beds or wet ground cover
• Composting

 
Transports
We use our two trucks mainly for transporting chipboard and the material from our cuts.
 
We also offer transportation services that are requested by private individuals and public agencies.

We have built a woodchip district heating plant in Madonna del Piano, in the municipality of Croglio, which allows us to supply thermal energy, in addition to our buildings, to some companies in the area.
