Impresa Forestale F.lli Zanetti was founded in 1981 as a forestry company.
Initially consisting of just two brothers, it can now rely on a workforce of qualified foresters, forestry workers, and apprentices. Over the years, it has further refined its skills in plant care and cutting and in naturalistic engineering works, equipping itself with the necessary machinery and equipment. It is also the first company in Ticino to recognize the need to use aerial platforms for work at height. It currently has several platforms up to 40 m high, used in both the forestry and construction sectors. Where its own equipment cannot reach, it specializes in work at height, such as tree climbing and rope suspension work for climbing.

Aware of the need to engage in the renewable energy sector, it has decided to become involved in the production and sale of wood chipboard, mainly used as fuel for modern heating systems. Thanks to two trucks, it can guarantee daily transport services throughout Ticino.
In parallel with its activities, it has sought to develop an ever-increasing awareness of safety at work, which is in fact based on the pursuit of the lowest possible risk by using state-of-the-art safety equipment. In recent years, it has taken on the following sales representations: Aspen eco-friendly gasoline, Jonsered forestry equipment, Mascot workwear, La Sportiva footwear, and Petzl safety equipment. It also organizes basic safety courses for working at height, led by qualified and trained personnel, in order to meet the requirements that arose following the entry into force of the new 2006 construction works ordinance.

We are the first company in Ticino to recognize the need to use aerial platforms for work at height.
 
We currently have several platforms that can reach a maximum height of 40 m.
 
We mainly use them to carry out the following work:
tree cutting, sign installation, sheet metal work, and work on building facades.
 
Aerial platforms up to 23 m high can also be rented without a driver, but a B driving license is required.

We are active in the production and sale of chipboard and are also promoters and owners of a wood biomass district heating plant located in Madonna del Piano.
 
We currently have two large wood chipping machines
 
Use of wood chips:

 

• Fuel for our wood biomass district heating plant or other modern wood-fired heating systems.
• Mulch for flower beds or covering damp soil
• Composting

 
Transport
We use our two trucks mainly to transport wood chips and material from our logging operations.
 
We also offer transport services requested by private individuals and public bodies.

In Madonna del Piano, in the municipality of Croglio, we have built a wood chip district heating plant that supplies thermal energy not only to our buildings but also to some companies in the area.
