Shiatsu (finger pressure) is a therapy of Japanese origin that balances the body's energy flow and stimulates natural self-regulating forces. Its aim  is to maintain the being in a good state of overall health. It releases tension and thus promotes better circulation on the physical level and on the more subtle level of what the Japanese call Qi or vital energy. Shiatsu acts in cases of physical disorders and during emotional burdens or stress.

Treatments, on the clothed body, involve pressure with the thumbs or flat of the hand, stretching and rotating movements.

 

Chi Nei Tsang treatments at the Terre d'Alchimie practice in Maracon

 Chi Nei Tsang is a therapeutic massage of the abdomen, stemming from the ancient Taoist traditions of China.

The abdomen is considered our second brain, as it is the seat of our emotions, which thus influence our health.

Through direct treatment of the internal organs, the Chi Nei Tsang integrates physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects.

 It has the effect of detoxifying the organism by dissolving blockages and promoting the circulation of energy throughout the body.

 

Do In, Qi gong, meridian stretching, meditation.

These disciplines aim to develop and activate your vital energy or Chi. Your self-regulatory abilities are naturally strengthened through various practices stemming from ancient Taoist Eastern traditions.

Tao means: the way, the Way.

The Tao is beyond words and knowledge, it can only be truly known through direct practical personal experience.

These practices serve to cultivate a healthy body, develop the soul and educate the mind.

Do In

Do In consists of exercises, postures, kneading, stretching, self-massage and breathing awareness with a view to improving metabolic balance, fostering self-awareness and well-being.

(do=tao means: way and in: gesture), in other words do means opening channels and encouraging the movement of energy along specific " trajectories ". In means to move and extend your limbs to achieve this goal.

Beneficial effects of Do In:

• stimulates organ life, strengthens all functions and harmonizes them

• prevents illness
• develops sensitivity for better self-knowledge

Stretching the meridians

Stretching to encourage the flow of Chi and the release of tension.

Imagery is used to guide the body through the exercises rather than consciously controlling breathing and movement.

Qi gong, energy meditations

The Qi gong on offer comes from the practices of the Universal Healing Tao (UHT) System, which is a system of energetic personal development on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.

This system was founded by Master Mantak Chia and is taught and spread throughout the world.

The first step is that of energetic meditation practices. The Inner Smile, a practice of connections to the organs, helps neutralize stress, welcome "negative" emotions and thus find balance with "positive" emotions.

The Six Healing Sounds, through positions allowing direct access to the organs and different sounds, these " cleansings " bring restoration and maintenance of calm and health. This organ-detoxification practice also improves digestion, boosts the immune system and promotes sleep.

The Iron Chair through postural alignment strengthening bones and activating tendons, promotes grounding.

Microcosmic Orbit promotes the flow of Chi into the Central Channel and thus enables the activation of more force from the Earth through the feet and from the universe through the top of the head, uniting them in the center or Tan tien.

Finally, Qi Gong, through various energetic preparation exercises, promotes fluidity, flexibility, strengthening the energy center by increasing Chi.

Beginning as a contemporary dancer, Shiatsu therapist, Chi Nei Tsang practitioner and Dô In and Qi Gong Instructor, I then developed a passion for traditional Arabic and Sufi dances that are part of the path to reclaiming the sacred feminine.

Besides practicing treatments at the Terre d'Alchimie practice and with residents of an EMS, I regularly offer workshops in Taoist body practices.

Taking care of the living on all levels is my raison d'être (humans, vegetable garden, animals...)

With my partner, Luc, we founded Terre d'alchimie, which brings us together in our passions, which we are delighted to share with you here.
