PBV Kaufmann was founded in 1997 as a family business in Härkingen and specializes in payment systems (originally U-Key, now Mifare and Legic) in the vending and canteen sector.

In 2002, the company started with in-house developments and since 2004, the development and production of Mifare readers, cards and encoding has been an integral part of the company. Even today, all Mifare readers and encodings are developed, produced and tested in-house at PBV Kaufmann.

In 2009, the Access Control division was supplemented with its own readers, and Access readers have been part of the comprehensive range ever since.

In 2013, company founder Hans-Peter Kaufmann handed the company over to new hands and, together with the existing team, the company moved to larger premises in Reiden in 2014.

In addition to the cash register, vending and access area, data carrier encoding and management as well as consulting for multi-application concepts are the great strengths of PBV Kaufmann Systeme GmbH
