With the idea of bringing a typical dish from Argentina directly to Ticino, "Don Fermin" was born. With an absolutely artisanal production, our empanadas bring a little piece of our country to Canton Ticino. Having the special feature of being frozen, it will always have with you a treat to eat.
When a person moves to another country, often the thing they miss the most is the food from home. We know that thanks to globalization we can find almost anything anywhere on the planet, but when it comes to a particular food such as empanadas, it is not always so simple.
Baking in the oven
All of our Empanadas come frozen so that you can cook them whenever you want, but you don't have to think that this is a difficult thing, in fact it's super easy. By following these 3 simple steps your empanadas will be ready to eat and surprise everyone.
Step 1: Heat the oven to 275°. Let's make a stop here, this is important, you know your oven better than anyone, let it heat well so you don't ruin the empanadas.
Step 2: When the oven is ready, put a baking paper or oil on the plate, and then on top of that the empanadas. You must leave a space between them of at least 2-3cm.
STEP 3: The last step, is not for that the least important. When you see that the dough has changed its color from white to golden, the empanadas are ready, this is achieved with about 15 minutes of cooking time. Do you have doubts about this?, look at our photos and compare with the ones that are in the oven.
EXTRA: Empanadas are ideal for eating at all hours, though if you do it at lunch or dinner, wine and beer are the best company. If you eat them at happy hour it will be just the magic!
