Since 1983 in Mendrisio, we have been engaged in the sale and service of copiers, printers, multifunctional equipment in the canton, also operating a modernly equipped printing center.

Tradition
Memocopia S.A. was founded in 1983 and assumed the exclusive representation, for the Canton of Ticino, of CITO, a well-known and ancient factory in Basel that has been producing alcohol duplicators, ink mimeographs and address machines since 1925. These machines are used at many users: schools, public agencies, and private companies. Although the Ticino company has just been established, it can already boast of a park of installations of some significance.

Dynamism
From the very beginning, however, the most advanced technologies imposed on the company a continuous and constant updating in order to be, on the market, always on the cutting edge. These are years of great transformations, reproduction systems are heading towards xerographic processes, an electronic computer appears on every desk and the first telefax machines begin to communicate with each other. Memocopia S.A. is ready to meet the new challenges, and the staff is young and prepared to deal with the changes. In 1986 the company signs an official reseller agreement with Canon, a manufacturer that within a few years will become the undisputed "leader" of the industry in world markets, still ranking first in number of devices sold.

In 1987 the young Ticino company already had its own telefax installation; this makes one smile today but, at that time, the users of this new means of communication were, in the area, very few! In 1989, for its own "service center," understood as a copy and heliographic reproduction laboratory for clients, the company purchased one of the first digital color laser copiers from Canon that existed in the world. The device is presented, as a world premiere, precisely in Basel. The investment is significant, but it ensures the possibility of immediately verifying the enormous potential offered by what, in the years to come, will become the era of "digital" devices.

Evolution
Finally, today, precisely the "digital" technology has also embraced with some vigor the sector of reference: Memocopia S.A. continues to address a dimension of "local" users who, however, in recent years, have seen their communication and information management needs grow. We believe that the acquired maturity of our company, its "background," its "know-how," and the choice of relevant products and business "partners" are the best weapons to face the new challenges that await us in the coming years. Our staff today has 4 internal and 3 external employees "dedicated" exclusively to customer service. Each of them is projected toward a gradually evolving future. Every year we attend refresher courses, visit the most important trade fairs in Europe, and always tend, by proposing the appropriate solution to the needs of the moment, to foresee new and different ones that might arise. Thanks to the trust our customers have placed in us for a long time now, we count on being able to do these things for a long time to come. This is our philosophy. We believe in it!
