Professional career

There are many paths that lead a person to their destination. They are not always straightforward, which is the exciting thing about life for me.

I originally completed two apprenticeships in the trades. An apprenticeship as a joiner and then an apprenticeship as a carpenter. I was always fascinated by construction and working with my hands.

I became aware of the profession of occupational therapist as a result of an accident that made it difficult for me to continue practising my manual trades.

This gave me the opportunity to get to know a new field of activity in which my manual skills were useful to me.

After graduating as an occupational therapist, I had the opportunity to work in a clinic in a center for craniocerebral trauma patients and coma patients.

In 2001, I had the opportunity to take up a position as an occupational therapist in Switzerland. I was able to expand and deepen my knowledge in the specialist areas of neurology and orthopaedics, where I was now working.

My goal was to create good conditions for the treatment of patients in addition to optimal treatment. I was given the opportunity to set up a complete neurology department at Privat Klinik im Park. I was able to learn a lot and gain a lot of new experience, such as that a good treatment concept is very important for an optimal course of treatment for the patient.
