Gobat Citerne Inc.
With over 17 years of experience in tank servicing, Fabrice Gobat, head of Gobat Citerne SA, has the expertise and knowledge to meet your needs.
Fuel oil is a safe energy source that remains a very popular choice for heating. Modern fuel oil heating systems and optimal combustion settings meet the highest environmental protection standards in all circumstances. Fuel oil heating produces comfortable heat using a storable fuel. It allows you to reach the desired temperature in a very short time.
We are here to ensure that your installation and tank contribute to the environment. Our careful and professional work guarantees safe storage and respect for the environment.
We offer to service your tank under optimal conditions and advise you on any necessary repairs.
According to current federal regulations, existing and non-compliant installations must be adapted when tanks are serviced. As our company carries out all special remediation work, we are able to provide you with a no-obligation quote.
Why should I have my tank inspected?
Heating oil is a natural fossil fuel, the quality of which can vary and deteriorate over time due to storage and various factors such as light, temperature differences, and condensation. As a result, the heating oil stored in your tank releases fine solids that settle at the bottom of the tank and form a deposit. These materials can pass through the suction pipe and reach the burner, thereby altering or even obstructing and stopping your heating system. To ensure the long-term proper functioning of your system, we recommend that you have your tank serviced at least once every 10 years.

Renovation of underground tanks
Please note: renovation of single-walled underground tanks until December 31, 2014...
Scope of application:
In accordance with the Water Protection Ordinance (WPO), all single-walled underground tanks must be converted and inspected as double-walled tanks by December 31, 2014, at the latest. In order to double the tank lining, an inspection (internal cleaning) must first be carried out.
Rainwater harvesting
You can collect an average of 600 liters of rainwater per square meter of roof (or 60,000 liters per year from a 100-square-meter roof). Even during the month with the least rainfall, you can still collect 30 to 40 liters per square meter of roof.
What will the collected rainwater be used for?
For storage for outdoor use (watering, washing, car, etc.), for storage for use in the home (toilets, washing machine, etc.), or for retention with limited output flow.
Waterproofing of retention basins
The waterproofing system consists of protective layers of synthetic felt with a surface weight of 800-1500 g/m². The waterproofing can be exposed to the elements and, if necessary, fitted with protective or wear layers. The installer also has waterproof joint strips at their disposal for making watertight connections. The synthetic waterproofing sheets used for retention basins can have a thickness of 2.0 to 2.5 mm. The waterproofing sheets are available in rolls and are laid individually and welded.
New installations
If you do not want to renovate your single-walled underground tanks, we offer plastic tanks with integrated retention basins.
