Consultation and liaison psychiatry service

The Münsingen Psychiatric Service looks after patients who are being treated in hospital or cared for in retirement and residential facilities, but who also have psychological or psychosomatic complaints that require treatment. The service's specialists advise the doctors at the hospital or in the care facilities and provide psychiatric-psychotherapeutic

On request, consultation and liaison psychiatric services are also provided for psychosocial institutions (residential homes, rehabilitation facilities)

The specialists at the Münsingen Psychiatric Service attach particular importance to identifying social conditions that are significant for the occurrence and maintenance of mental disorders, and social work plays a key role in this. If necessary, appropriate support is therefore integrated into the treatment plan in cooperation with the social services and other specialized agencies. Longer-term care for people with persistent and complex mental health problems is also possible. This also includes support with difficulties in living and working areas.
