The Münsingen Psychiatric Service provides basic psychiatric care for the Aare and Gürbetal valleys, as well as the Riggisberg and Schwarzenburg regions.A qualified team of professionals from the fields of psychiatry, psychology, social work, and psychiatric nursing ensures high quality standards. Regular professional exchanges, the involvement of experts when necessary, and continuous professional training for all team members also contribute significantly to this.

Consultation, assessment, medical diagnosis, and treatment

The Münsingen Psychiatric Service offers modern, evidence-based psychiatric treatments for a wide range of mental health conditions. The services range from drug therapies for mental health conditions to specialized psychotherapy. Treatments are provided directly at the Münsingen Psychiatric Service.

 

If necessary, the Münsingen Psychiatric Services also offer consultation hours in homes or hospitals.

Treatment is tailored to the individual needs of the person concerned and is based on a joint therapy plan.

Consultation and liaison psychiatric service

The Münsingen Psychiatric Service cares for patients who are being treated in hospital or cared for in retirement and residential homes, but who also have mental or psychosomatic complaints that require treatment. The service's specialists advise doctors at the hospital or in the care facilities and take on the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic

Upon request, consultation and liaison psychiatric services are also provided for psychosocial institutions (residential homes, rehabilitation facilities).

 

The specialists at the Münsingen Psychiatric Service attach particular importance to identifying social conditions that are significant for the onset and persistence of mental disorders, with social work playing a key role in this. If necessary, appropriate support is therefore integrated into the treatment plan in cooperation with social services and other specialized agencies. Long-term care for people with long-standing and complex mental health problems is also possible. This includes support for difficulties in the areas of housing and work.
