Those who know us at Märchy's think of a bakery. Of bread. Of craftsmanship. Of family. Hopefully also of quality.

For a long time, we too thought of bread, sweet pastries, and baking. But when we had the opportunity to rent a café in a traditional building in Näfels, this changed forever. For days—and even nights—our thoughts revolved around the usual things, but also around the huge challenge of how on earth to set up a café...

We started testing recipes, trying out kitchen appliances, and visiting other cafés. We discovered so many new things in such a short time that we sometimes felt dizzy from all the impressions.

Things went wrong time and again, other things were just wow, and during all these experiences, quietly and secretly, a possibility turned into a project close to our hearts: our Kafi Beuge.

Of course, we will remain a bakery. We are simply adding a small meeting place where we can spoil you and get to know you better.

How to find us

We are at home in the beautiful Glarus region in Näfels. Our café is surrounded by breathtaking mountains.

You will find several parking spaces opposite Blumen Eberle. Right next to the Beuge. If everything is occupied, you can park at our main store at Klosterweg 1 and walk the few meters to us.
