Schaedler ceramics workshop, 1836
Primitive forms of functional ceramics have accompanied humanity since its earliest stages of development. Due to its ease of handling, clay was ideal for shaping functional and cult objects. The schaedler ceramics workshop continues this ancient tradition of designing, shaping, and firing objects made of fired clay. In 1836, great-great-grandfather Philipp Albert Schädler ventured into the market as a stove tile producer. Today, the focus is no longer on large-scale production, but on the careful manufacture of modern ceramics for the home, for decorative purposes, and, last but not least, the series of urns for people and beloved companions from the animal kingdom.
