Music for everyone!

The CMNE covers the whole canton and offers musical education to Neuchâtel residents aged 3 to 99. Its priority mission is amateur and pre-professional music teaching, but also the development of general musical culture in the canton, in accordance with article 2 of the law on the Neuchâtel Conservatory of Music (LCMN).

So, every year, the CMNE offers over 200 class auditions and more than 100 performances ranging from orchestra concerts outside the walls to choral accompaniment or the hosting of a private or political ceremony. CMNE's school music department is responsible for promoting music in schools and supporting teachers in their teaching activities.

The CMNE addresses the whole population, in line with its adage "Music for all!". In recent years, for example, it has launched a number of activities aimed at people with disabilities and senior citizens.
