The roots of Carrosserie Kompetenz Center Nidau AG go back to 1896, when Jean Gygax founded the company in Biel. In 1936, Paul Liechti took over the company and gave it the name Carrosseriewerke AG. After moving to its current premises in Nidau in 1948, the company continued to develop steadily.

In 1998, Carrosserie V. De Feo AG was transformed into VDF Sàrl, which built up a strong reputation in the Biel region. The merger with Carrosserie Kompetenz Centre Nidau AG followed in 2025 - and the new name was introduced at the same time.

Today, the company employs 34 people under the management of Miguel Oliveira. With state-of-the-art technology and an experienced team, the competence centre offers high-quality bodywork for private customers, garages and insurance partners.

Tinsmithing

Thanks to our modern facilities and the right equipment, we carry out all bodywork on cars, classic cars and commercial vehicles ourselves - whether made of sheet metal or plastic. We also carry out work on air conditioning systems, track and steering geometry and wheel servicing directly on site.

Painting

Whether partial or complete painting - we make sheet metal and plastic shine again in the shortest possible time. We consistently use environmentally friendly water-based paints. Painting work is carried out efficiently, precisely and on time in our three modern stoving booths.

Our polishing service rounds off the offer: the paint surface is thoroughly cleaned, refreshed and sealed - for long-lasting shine and optimum protection.

Commercial vehicles

In addition to passenger cars, we also repair and maintain commercial vehicles, buses and special vehicles. We are particularly specialised in work on aluminium bodywork. Thanks to our spacious infrastructure, we have space for vehicles of all sizes.

Pressing technology

The innovative method for removing dents, parking and hail damage. Our specially trained team gently shapes dents - without any painting work. Clever dent removal instead of expensive painting!

Classic car restorations
