Standard service

Maintenance and care of vehicles are an important factor for breakdown-free journeys and for maintaining the value of the vehicle when it is resold. That's why your car needs regular servicing at a garage. For most cars, the service is only due after 15,000 or 20,000 km. If you drive fewer kilometers per year, you should still have your car serviced once a year. During the inspection at a garage, all important parts are checked, the oil levels are checked, oil changes are carried out, filters are changed and adjustments are made.

 

 

MFK vehicle inspection

If you have already received your request to present your car, please notify your garage owner. The vehicle inspection includes certain tasks such as washing the engine, adjusting the lights, checking the brakes, emissions test, lift test and test drive. On request, we can also carry out the presentation at the motor vehicle inspection.

 

 

 

Slices

A crack in the windshield caused by a stone chip always comes at the worst possible time! The car is often needed again and a windshield replacement should be carried out quickly. We replace or repair windscreens from all manufacturers.

 

 

 

 

 

Exhaust

The exhaust system with catalytic converter and lambda sensor must be checked regularly. Holes in the exhaust not only increase the engine noise, but also lead to a deteriorated exhaust gas jet. This can hinder the flow of gas out of the combustion chamber and therefore lead to poorer performance and higher fuel consumption.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Electrics

Problems with the car's electronics are unfortunately no longer a rarity. Anyone who has ever had to troubleshoot an electronics problem knows how difficult it can be. It is often not possible to clearly determine which part is causing the fault. And this despite state-of-the-art test equipment. The reason for this is that different components are interconnected. The electronic systems work with sensors, electrical cables, display panels, switches and control units that also communicate with other systems. Quick troubleshooting in such cases is often based on our many years of experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oil change

It is worth changing the oil from time to time in cars that are not used much and are often parked. Even vehicles that are only used for short distances, additional oil changes are not a mistake. An engine oil only really shows its good properties at normal operating temperature. When cold, the oil cannot fully develop its properties. Sludge and condensation can build up in the oil pan. When changing the oil, all residues and dirt are drained from the oil pan and new oil is filled in.

 

 

 

 

 

Gearbox

We are able to completely disassemble, repair and reassemble the gearbox. In the event of major problems with the gearbox, we will replace it with an exchange gearbox.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Motor

Work on motors should be left to specialist personnel. Under no circumstances will garages or manufacturers cover repairs to engine damage caused by their own fault under warranty. Serious faults on an engine can lead to a total loss and an engine replacement. So don't save money in the wrong place.

 

 

 

 

 

Steering geometry

After a collision with another car, a wheel alignment is often carried out. This is usually a purely precautionary measure. The toe and camber of all wheels are measured. This is to prevent a tire from wearing on one side later on.

 

 

 

Shock absorber

The importance of shock absorbers is often underestimated. If the efficiency of the dampers drops, the shock absorbers must be replaced. Poor dampers can cause the car to lurch when changing bends quickly and, in the worst case, cause an accident. Have all shock absorbers checked from time to time at a workshop.

 

 

 

 

Tires / rims

The air pressure must be checked regularly. Underinflated tires wear out the shoulders and increase fuel consumption. If you have winter and summer tires with the respective rims, check after changing the wheels whether you feel a vibration or imbalance on the steering wheel. The wear of the tread rubber can lead to a change in the behavior of the tire and cause an imbalance. If this is the case, have the wheels balanced again at the garage. The tire service also always checks the tread depth of the tires and sets the air pressure correctly before fitting the wheels.

 

 

Climate

No one wants to miss the air-conditioned interior in summer. The coolant is checked and topped up, and the filter is changed.

 

 

Exhaust gas test

You must have this adjustment carried out regularly today. You will receive a certificate with the emission values and a sticker for the windshield. We are able to carry out the emissions tests. If the specified values are not achieved, the reason must be sought. It is best to carry out the emissions test at the same time as the service.
