Around the turn of the century (1898), Alfredo Bovisi came to Switzerland from Italy. In 1913, he founded his construction company in Mittelhäusern BE. In 1944, his son Alfred joined the business. The company Bovisi & Sohn was born. On January 1, 1955, Alfredo Bovisi ceded his share in the company to Battista Bovisi. The company name was now Gebrüder Bovisi. Alfredo Bovisi died in 1968. From then on, Battista Bovisi continued to run the construction company alone. In 1985, Battista Bovisi and his elder son Alfred founded a limited company. The construction company BOVISI AG was born. Battista Bovisi, Junior acquired a stake in his father's and brother's limited company in 1993. In the summer of 2012, Battista Bovisi, Junior left the company. Alfred Bovisi's nephew Roman Riesen joined the company in his place.
